Hi Guys sorry its a late monthly objective, but its a nice easy one this month anyway! So everyone should have a small little warband painted up now and now is the time to start your games and campaign in the Mortal Realms!
This month your objective is to play 2 linked games of Hinterlands or AoS Skirmish (should it drop in time), by linked games I mean, just continue the story or campaign over into the second game.
If you complete this objective you will receive 4 bonus tiles!
Also if you are new or haven't posted yet... get a blog post up and you'll gain an automatic 5 tiles!
Good luck everyone. Loving the progress so far

Adepticon Vanguard Game 2 Skaven vs GW's Pete Foley
After my rats took home a big win in game one I was matched up against Games Workshop Design Studio's own Pete Foley!
Here is my army list for the tournament:
Verminlord Warpseer - General with Chaos Talisman and Cunning Deceiver
Deathmaster Snikch - nuff said
10 clanrats with rusty blades
30 clanrats with rusty blades
1 ratling gun
3 stormfiends with warpfire projectors - yeah yeah, i know
Pete was running a very hard and tough Tzeentch demons army with 2 Lords of Change, 20 pink horrors, and a summoning pool of enough blue and brimstones to almost cover all the pink horror splitting abilities. This army was very well painted and it was great to see the new big birds on the table.
The scenario was quite unique. Each player placed two objectives anywhere on the map but not within 12 inches of each other. For deployment there were no player territories. Instead, each player deployed a unit at a time, touching bases to base with at least two other models in the unit, anywhere on the board at least 9 inches away from the opponent. The trick though is that no one can move in the movement phase of the first turn. This can lead to both armies mixed up all over the board but for our game Pete set up defensively around his two objectives and I deployed in a big net around him. You score points by having the most bodies on an objective at the end of each of your turns
Pete rolls his 9 destiny/fate dice and all I see is a sea of 6s. I think he rolled 4 or 5 6s and had several others that were 4s or 5s. This is a great start for Pete and might mean an uphill battle for my whiskered friends.
Since Pete had less units he chose to go first. His first act was to summon in his second lord of change. Between his hero phase and shooting he was able to bring my Verminlord down to something like 3 wounds left and killed about half of my big clarat block. but everything in his force stayed put.
On my turn I was completely shut down in the magic phase (which is a shame since my wizard is pretty sweet) thanks to that sweet Tzeentch magic skills. I was, however, able to chuck my orb at one of the birds and get a charge off with my clanrats into some of his horrors holding one of the objectives. This is when I reveal Deathmaster Snikch! He hops out of the clanrats and scoots over to deliver the coup de grace against the (mortally wounded) Lord of Change!

The Vermin March on Adepticon (and onto Warhammer TV)!
I want to share some of my ratty adventures at Adepticon through a few battle reports.
I only played in a three game vanguard tournament (1000 points) and I only really have pictures from the first two games as the third game was actually on Warhammer TV!
My list was based on the fact that I did not have enough bases to put my rats on to get a true horde so I had to rely on some bigger models to fill out my force. Here it is:
Verminlord Warpseer - General with Chaos Talisman and Cunning Deceiver
Deathmaster Snikch - nuff said

30 clanrats with rusty blades
1 ratling gun
3 stormfiends with warpfire projectors - yeah yeah, i know
In my first game I ran up against a mixed chaos demon list with 10 pink horrors, 10 plague bearers, a Great Unclean One, 10 Flesh Hounds and a soul grinder. There may have been another unit that I am forgetting but it didnt really affect anything.
The first thing I noticed is that he had demons from several Chaos gods which meant he didnt have a lot of the regular synergies you might expect normally. The mission was to claim four points on the board, two in each deployment zone. If you could hold all four at once you win.
We both deployed centrally on the board. I had a little unit of 10 clanrats holding an objective in the woods on one side (facing off against the 10 flesh hounds) and the rest of my army on the other side on a big hill (hills gave cover in this tournament) facing the rest of his army.
My opponent comes marching towards me with his soul grinder in the lead. Some shots are fired back and forth but nothing too major happens turn one.
Turn two sees the soul grinder crash into my big 30 rat unit but he doesnt do a lot of damage.

The Verminus Muster Begins!
Hello Everyone!
I have completed my first round of battleline units for my Verminus themed pure Skaven force. The Verminus clan grouping includes all your basic clanrats, stormvermin, and warlords so focuses on getting a lot of fighty (and not terribly fighty) bodies on the table. There is a decent amount of synergy and a few tricks within this alignment so I am hoping for some reasonable amount of success on the battlefield.
Without further delay here are my first claws (Skaven for units):
First up is Claw Skitters led by the fearsome well...Skitters I guess! This is a unit of 10 clanrats with rusty blades (cause it'll hurt more!) and clan shields (like regular shields but worse)

Current Standings! and April Monthly Objective
Congratulations on all those who completed the monthly objective for March, you have now entered Mount Dextros region which is where the real campaign is taking place.
For those who haven't yet gained tiles here, don't worry you will have another chance to this month. For those who have, you now have a choice to make.
But let us see who is winning in what area at the moment. First of all the Overview map looks like this..

And the world wept...
He woke and he looked and he saw what he was. The power that raged in his veins, a gift. No, the gift, the gift of protection. He raised his head and the new born daemon prince howled his joy at the uncaring sky.
Blood for the blood god, skulls for the skull throne!
And the world wept for what it had lost and gained...
So this is my 'general', at least my fluff general :) The great Daemon Prince of Khorne - Ca'vren Kal'b. Disciple of Khorne and protector of The Faithful. He has been blessed by Khorne with unimaginable power far beyond the reach of a mortal. He leads his band on a mission of vengeance, aiming to right old wrongs done to his people.

All Hail Queek!
Hello Everybody,
I am just finishing up rebasing and touching up 1,000 points of Skaven for Adepticon next week. Here are some pictures of my ratty friends.
First up is the one and only Queek Headtaker! This guy is not at all happy about being left behind in the world that was. As it happens though, Skaven breeding habits being what they are, it was inevitable to have another Skaven in the current age who is just as mighty (maybe a little mightier) than the old Queek. Different Age, same megalomania and paranoia (maybe a little more of each).
New Queek (who from this point forward will be referred to simply as Queek) is starting from humble beginnings but has his eyes set on bigger things. He hopes one day to usurp Arcahon himself as the true Everchosen. Follow along on his journey and see if he makes it!

March Bonus Objective
Welcome to the first monthly objective!
March Objective!
Good Day everyone!
Welcome to Border Wars, an online Age of Sigmar map campaign run by HobbyHammer. A few have started introducing their armies which is great! So I thought now is a great time to put down a monthly objective.
This month is easy, paint up your General of your warband and post some pictures up on here with a back story as to why he is campaigning. If you complete this by the 28th March you will gain an extra 2 tiles of territory and also start expanding into Mount Dextros which currently has no one in it.

Queek Headtaker, TRUE Everchosen of Chaos, PROPER Lord of the End Times and the ONE AND ONLY Marshall of the Apocalypse!!!
All Lie-Speak!
Of course Queek is true lord of all and greatest of all fighters (and leaders)!
Since Queek is mightiest of all then who but Queek could have destroyed Old World and conquered mortal realms?!?
Archaon is child-thing compared to the glory of Queek!
All hail Queek!!!
-Speech given by Queek Headtaker (to himself, inside his head)
Join me as I rebuild my, mostly verminous, Skaven army after its destruction in the world-that-was and bring it into a new era of death and destruction. This blog will include new models, some intense rebasing, and attempts to bring Skaven back to the top in this new era.
Queek will also feature prominently because he really is the best.

The story of the honourable Lord Black Raven.
I post as Praecautus on TGA and I am looking forward to taking part in this. I hope my story, army and battle reports are enjoyable.
The story of the honourable Lord Black Raven, protector of the Faithful and the Guardian Lord of the lands of Tagge.
Prologue
"More water, Master?" The acolyte raised the cup to the old man's lips who gratefully drank some of the cool fluid and whispered a quiet thankyou. The acolyte looked at the old man lying on his death bed, the Master of the Order of Watchers had been a constant in his life in the church for these twenty past years, and now he was passing, change was coming.
The Master turned his head and 'looked' at the acolyte with sightless eyes. As he did so he coughed up some blood, which the acolyte reverently wiped from his chin.
"My son" he started and coughed again. "My son, while I have strength you shall have your final lesson."
"Save your strength Master, surely the other Masters can teach me?"
"No my son," replied the Master, "there are some things only a few can teach. Tell me, why is the Church here?"
"To help the poor and guard the souls of the faithful." replied the acolyte, "We all know this Master."
"Of course," and here the old Master paused. "but who are we guarding them from?"
The acolyte was silent and before he could respond the Master continued. "The Raven Lords guarded this land, but the last of their family died just over nine hundred..." he coughed more blood onto his chin, "...nine hundred and eighty years ago." finished the Master.
"Do you know of the last Raven Lord my son?" Here the acolyte was silent. "Of course you are too young, not yet finished in your lessons. I shall tell you and it shall be the last thing I teach you."
The old Master was silent a moment, then he began...

Welcome to The Border Wars! - The Rules
Rise of Empires: Border Wars
The Rules of the Campaign
Welcome to Border Wars, the third chapter in the Rise of Empires Age of Sigmar supplements. What a year it has been for the narrative side of Age of Sigmar. Since the last map campaign, we have had a few sell out narrative events in UK and US. Also the Wednesday Warhammer TV narrative game has shown people how awesome it is is play in this more open way.
So What is Border Wars?
I have developed the campaign maps (examples below) to show each armies current territory. Each time your army progresses by posting battle reports or introducing a new unit to the army, this territory will expand. There is 4 maps to fight your battles over, The Nomad Chasm, The Great Green Torc, The Castle of Scorned Hope and Mount Dextros, these maps track your individual progress. If your Alliance controls the majority of the map, the main overview map will show your alliance in control of that region.
There is a flip side to this, if someone doesn't post anything for a month, then their territory will decrease. Similarly, your territory could decrease if you go up against someone else in the Rise of Empires campaign and lose, if this happens it will depend on the outcome as to how much territory is lost and won.
